THE PRESENT
St Joseph's English Medium School is an English medium co-educational school. It caters to students from classes
1-10 and offers ICSE Examination, New Delhi at the end of class 10.
Academic year: April to March
School tuition fee for 2016-17 ranges between Rs.700 and Rs.850
School overall hours summer 6.55am-1.35pm / winter 8.00am-1.50pm
School weekly holiday: Saturday but may have to attend on special occasions

ADMISSION FORMALITIES
Application for all classes invited on prescribed form in the month of DecemberAdmission: class KG 1-2: on the basis of first come first serve
Admission: other classes: in case of vacancy, test is conducted in the month of January

TIMES GONE BY
- Founder body of this Institution is the Catholic Diocese of Asansol
- 2005 started as Kindergarten in a rented place at B.I.T premises with help from local dignitaries, to cater to the Santhals, a tribe in Katwa, under the initiative of Rev Fr Lawrence Pinto, the then Priest-in-Charge of Mother Teresa Ashram, Dak Bangla
- 2007 shifted to newly-constructed building aided by the Austrian friends of Fr Lawrence Pinto, local donors and Catholic Diocese of Asansol
- Recognized by the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions [F.No. 451 of 2007] as a Minority Institution
- Affiliated to Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) Examination, New Delhi
